2High Festival: Batteries Not Included

posted Wednesday, 1 Sep

Can't wait for November and the 2010 2high Festival to arrive? Well quench your thirst with Batteries Not Included, a special 2high Festival pre-event being held at Brisbane's brand-spanking new venue The Alley.

“What are you looking for?” you ask. We’re looking for batteries. And we know you’ve got ‘em.

Come with us now on a journey through time and space...more accurately, through the dimly-lit city backstreets of Brisbane and down some alleyway. There you’ll find an eccentric little crowd. Music, performance & art will merge with the flowing atmosphere.

There the Backbone peeps will make you a deal. In exchange for your batteries – your presence, your laughter, your open mind, your monetary support – they’ll give you a giddy night; a sneak-peak of what is to come.

Backbone Youth Arts’ 2high Festival 2010 will be upon us in November, but this is your chance to be the first to touch it, feel it and be part of this Machine. Those brave enough to venture down the Alley will be joined by Lion Island, Sulphur Lights and Circa Zoolings, with many more arts acts on the bill.
It’s simple; the more folks that get involved, the bigger and better the Machine becomes.

Every battery counts, so get along to The Alley (79 Elizabeth Street, Brisbane) from 7pm on Saturday 25 September. Tickets will set you back $16 pre-sale (get them here) or $20 on the door.

Find out everything you need to know (and more) about the 2010 Backbone Youth Arts 2high Festival at their website, and start counting down the days 'til November 12 and 13.
