Entry to the Australian Book Review short story prize – renamed the ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize, in memory of the late Australian writer – is now open.
First prize is $5000 and three shortlisted stories will recieve $1000 plus publication.
Authors must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. Each entry must be a single authored short story in English of between 2000 and 5000 words. The results will be announced in October and the winning story will be published in the October 2011 (Fiction) issue of ABR.
The guidelines and entry form are now available on the ABR website. A fee of $16 (or $12 for current ABR subscribers) must be accompanied by the entry. Entries close on 30 June, 2011.
