The success of Queensland’s Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) keeps gaining momentum as their talented students create and perform new works to an ever-growing audience.

Advance Diploma student Kaylah Tyson, alongside former ACPA student Caleb Stanley, are on the brink of an exciting career in music, as their band Poetic Murriz is poised to release its debut single on national commercial radio.

Advanced Diploma student Jesse Martin has been working most diligently at Expressions Dance Co for the past 6 months as a trainee dancer. Ms Natalie Weir, the companies Artistic Director, is so impressed with Jesse she has extended his traineeship for another 6 months.

Diploma students Kaine and Ngoika successfully auditioned for Queensland Music Festival's work in development “Little Green Road To Fairyland” directed by the esteemed choreographer Rosetta Cook. The students, alongside Advance Diploma student Jesse Martin, commence rehearsals this week for this original and exciting new work

Carmen Attel, Howard Williams, Hannah Scanlan and Gina Reuben are preparing for their movement and vocal roles for ‘Sand Song,’ directed by Elena Vereker of Insite Arts. The work starring the students of ACPA will be the highlight of the Out of the Box festival at QPAC in June.
