After a hugely successful Newcastle season Tantrum Theatre’s As You Like It returns as the main performance attraction at Gloucester’s annual Shakespeare on Avon Festival in NSW. Tantrum Theatre is delighted to be taking this enchanting comedy from the parks of Newcastle to the beautiful Gloucester Valley.

Director Carl Young said,

“The Gloucester Shakespeare Festival is an experience like no other. The atmosphere is incredible, the people are amazing and I can barely contain my excitement to watch the talented Tantrum ensemble deliver the goods with our delightful, entertaining and moving return season of As You Like It.”

There will be two school shows (19, 20 May) and three public performances including a matinee on 20 May and evening performances on the 20, 21 May. As You Like It currently sits on the HSC English Syllabus and each school show will be accompanied by a question and answer session with the cast and crew.

After the Newcastle season one parent commented via an audience survey,

“What an amazing production. My daughter is in Year 12 this year, which gave her the impetus to come with me, and she was blown away…she left with a much improved understanding of the play as a whole.”

All performances will be held at the Gloucester Recreation Centre in Gloucester District Park, Boundary Street.
