Applications are open now for AUSTAR Stage for Life, a unique work experience program that brings two students from Regional Australia to Sydney for a week in late October to study all aspects of professional theatre production with Bell Shakespeare.

Students with an interest in theatre are encouraged to apply and the successful applicants will spend a week gaining experience in all aspects of theatre production and management, including stage management, production, marketing and event planning. The will also learn about television production and go behind the scenes at Austar.

Students from Lightning Ridge, Townsville, Mt Isa, Roxby Downs, Ballarat, Alice Springs and Grafton have previously participated in Stage For Life, which is now in its sixth year.

Applications close at 3pm on Thursday 2 September and the two successful applicants will be notified by Bell Shakespeare on Monday 13 September, then travel to Sydney to attend the programme from Sunday 24 October to Saturday 30 October.
