The AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things is ready to light up the Perth CBD from November 19-28.

The AWESOME Festival is a showcase of the best and latest contemporary arts from around the world. Presented every November in the Perth CBD, AWESOME presents amazing, high quality arts activities and events for young people.

This year's program is multi-faceted including new media, film, animation, contemporary dance, sculpture, installation and theatre from all around the globe. You can check out the program in all its glorious entirety here, but festival goers can expect an inflatable 'luminarium' (Levity III), a film and animation extravaganza (Big Picture, Small People) and a rather unusual library (The library of nearly lost moments) among stacks of other delights.

It's not just city dwellers who get to enjoy the AWESOME-ness either. AWESOME's regional program Creative Challenge has had another amazing year, visiting 10 regional and remote WA communities with a new project called Home Ground, devised by WA artist Louise Snook.

The bright young things of each community were challenged and inspired to create artworks that explore their ideas around 'home' and the results were magnificent! AWESOME Arts is a not-for-profit contemporary arts company for young people which aims to engage with 6-16 year olds through exciting, inspiring, accessible and challenging arts activities and programs. Based in the Perth CBD, AWESOME presents the annual AWESOME Festival, the Creative Challenge and Special Programs.
