African Soul drumming classes

posted Thursday, 1 Apr

Music is an integral part of a child’s development, and drumming is a fantastic choice for your child’s after school activity; not only is it great fun, but studies have shown that it improves children’s confidence, co ordination, fitness, creativity and self expression.

African Soul run two children’s classes; Monkeys (5-8) and Tigers (9-12), in which children will develop body awareness, rhythm, pitch, dynamics, and listening skills.

Each child will play their own drum, sing and move their bodies to traditional Ghanaian beats. Each child is nurtured in a safe and caring environment and African Soul pride themselves on encouraging each individual to express themselves and enjoy music.

Classes take place on Wednesdays at the Masonic Hall in Noarlunga Downs, and Thursdays at the Malvern Uniting Church.

Head along to African Soul’s website for timetables and more information. You can even check out the range of adult classes they have on offer too!
