Alice in Wonderland

posted Friday, 1 Jan

Fall down the rabbit hole into a world of riddle and rhyme in this exciting adaptation from Tumbleweed Theatrical Productions.

Join Alice on her extraordinary journey down the rabbit hole. Delight as she takes tea with the Mad Hatter, plays croquet with the Queen of Hearts and meets, among others, the fabled Cheshire Cat, Mock Turtle and March Hare. Lewis Carroll’s fantastic creations come to life in this wonderful and creative version of the children's classic, Alice in Wonderland.

With an original score, dance and audience interaction, this is a phantasmagorical journey through Wonderland, appealing to adults and children alike. The creative team includes Brydie Lee-Kennedy as Alice and Sophie Miller as the piano-playing White Rabbit. Jo Bourke and Neal Downward, collaborators on several of Tumbleweed's other productions, deftly switch between a host of charismatic characters with humour and wit.

Managed by Amanda Jessup and Brydie Lee-Kennedy, Sydney-based Tumbleweed Theatrical Productions has had two strong years touring across Australia, bringing innovative and entertaining shows to venues including Trades Hall in Melbourne and Sydney's legendary Roxbury Hotel and Bondi Pavilion. Following performances at the Melbourne International Comedy and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, to coincide with the movie release of Alice in Wonderland, Tumbleweed Theatrical Productions now bring this timeless classic to the Adelaide Fringe.
