The trophies may not have been handed out yet, but The Blue Room Theatre is pleased to congratulate 21 of its members among the 36 artists nominated for the upcoming 2010 Perth Theatre Trust Equity Guild Awards being handed out on 29 November.

Perth's home to independent theatre is not just a venue to see contemporary performing arts events, but a membership organization that provides resources and services to West Australian theatre practitioners.

This year Blue Room Theatre members feature in all but one award category, thanks to their work on a variety of major theatre company productions, as well as new works by
independent companies, showing the versatility and prolific presence of Blue Room Theatre members within the Perth performing arts community.

Artists nominated for their work on world premiere productions developed and presented at The Blue Room Theatre include: Gita Bezard and Ian Sinclair (The Bearskinner, The Duck House and The Wet Weather Ensemble); Arielle Gray (Nobody cares but you, Luke Milton with Gray Ruby Productions); James Helm and Jo Morris (The Myth of Julian Rose, Mondo di Corpo); along with Samantha Murray (October, This One Show) and Alicia Osyka (Red Cross, The Wet Weather Ensemble) who featured in new West Australian productions of existing works.

Congratulations to these and other Blue Room Theatre members who will be vying for the honours of Best Actor (Male & Female), Best Supporting Actor (Male & Female), Best Design, Best Director and Best Newcomer: Benj D'Addario; Sam Longley; Steve Turner; Natalie Holmwood; Amanda Woodhams; Brendan Ewing; Craig Williams; Adriane Daff; Matthew Lutton; Adam Mitchell; Zoe Pepper; Pilar Mata Dupont; Trent Suidgeest; and Bryan Woltjen.
