Expressions of interest are now open for artists keen to facilitate a workshop in the highly successful Carclew Youth Arts School Holiday Program.

This is a unique opportunity for artists to bring their artform to hundreds of enthusiastic and creatively driven South Australian children.

"This is a rare opportunity for South Australian artists to engage with children to encourage, develop and nourish artistic expression in young people," said School Holiday Program Manager, Narisha Cash.

Carclew is committed to nourishing the artistic and cultural lives of South Australian children and providing fun, creative experiences at the School Holiday Program is just one way of reaching this audience.

Every school holidays Carclew provides high quality creative workshops which challenge children to think outside the square.

"Previous workshops have included various artforms such as screen printing, painting, animation, break dancing, darkroom photography, DJ-ing, illustration, miming, drama and tie dye to name a few," said Narisha.

The school holiday program is run over Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring school holidays with 250 children participating in the wide range of workshops held for kids aged 5-15 years.

Expressions of interest are now being accepted for the Summer and Autumn programs to be held in January and April 2011 respectively and must be received no later than Friday, November 5, 2010 by 5pm.
