Melbourne’s Arena Theatre Company is thrilled to have received 8 nominations for its 2009 major production, Goodbye Vaudeville Charlie Mudd. The show was Arena's second co-production with Malthouse Theatre, which played to near-sold out audiences in March last year. Nominations received:

Best Production

Direction- Chris Kohn

Male Performer- Mark Jones

Female Supporting Lead- Christen O'Leary

Set Design- Jonathon Oxlade

Composition & Sound Design- Mark Jones & Jethro Woodward

Lighting- Richard Vabre

New Writing for the Australian Stage- Lally Katz


"Congratulations to the brilliant team behind Goodbye Vaudeville Charlie Mudd for their recognition by the Green Room panel” said Artistic Director Chris Kohn.

“This was Arena Theatre Company's second co-production with Malthouse Theatre and the scope of the nominations reflects the great creative partnership that it was. We look forward to returning to the Malthouse again in 2010 with the world premiere of Moth in May, when we will again team up with Goodbye Vaudeville nominees Jonathon Oxlade and Jethro Woodward."
