The classic story of Cinderella will be brought to life when award-winning puppeteer, Scotland’s Shona Reppe, brings her imaginative production of the world’s favourite fairytale to the Studio at Sydney Opera House from April 6.
Combining traditional and contemporary puppet styles with original music and some inventive twists in the tale, Shona Reppe’s Cinderella is a witty and engrossing production. With secret hatches, hidden drawers and a handbag full of magic that transforms Cinderella into the belle of the ball, this is puppet theatre at its best.
“Shona Reppe is one of the most eye catching performers on the children’s stage … almost otherworldly, like a sprite creating magic with her hand-made puppets and intricate sets....inventive brilliance and mischievous, witty touches abound in this one woman production..."
