Corinna Di Niro , Adelaide's one and only Commedia dell'Arte expert has breathed fresh air into the ancient craft of Commedia.
With her new company *Interform - specialising in interdisciplinary performing arts and training, Corinna has lead the way for Commedia since 2004. Trained by world's expert Antonio Fava in Italy, Corinna was selected to present and perform along side him at the Inaugural Commedia dell'Arte Festival in Brisbane earlier this year and has recently returned from a month of Commedia workshops in South America.
The Art Gallery of SA has invited Corinna to write and direct a brand new Commedia dell'Arte show for their Italian Day October 3, 010. The Marriage of Flavio & Isabella is a 30 minute performance aimed at primary school students and is available for school shows Term 4 2010. Bookings essential.
Just in 2010, Corinna has worked in a number of schools running workshops and directing Commedia plays, she has held 3 sold out teacher workshops, ran workshops for Carclew's school holiday program and has even created a never seen before Commedia meets burlesque and information technology show 'iSize' which has performed to record crowds at the Adelaide Fringe and Adelaide Cabaret Fringe.
