With 6 Tall Tales of love, lust and murder, Dancing Back Home is born out of a truly continent-wide collaboration.
A girl embarks on a pilgrimage, another is chained to a tree…
A woman mourns her children, another discovers love on the side of the road…
A boy dances in a country town hall, another is running from a crime so bloody…
Director Christopher Glover says Dancing Back Home is a modern Australian fairytale comprising six short stories by a group of young playwrights that is destined to have audiences delighted, frightened, gobsmacked and sad.
“Starting with very sweet, cute stories about love before morphing into a world that will have you jumping out of your seat – and back again to a much lighter place with more sweet moments.
“From a set created by animated, hand drawn illustrations brought to life with an original music score, the design is quite extraordinary and will blow people’s minds,” he said.
Written by emerging playwrights from Queensland, Tasmania and the Northern Territory, Dancing Back Home will tickle with delight, while watching you from afar.
