D’faces mentoree Maddison Perry is fast becoming a well known figure in the community of Whyalla as she transforms legal walls into backdrops full of vivid colour.

Her outstanding talent in visual arts extends to film making and stage makeup. In 2009 Maddison was a Cargo Mentoree under the mentorship of sculptor Rachel Young. Maddison is currently an emerging artist in residence at D’faces under the mentorship of Leith O’Malley.

D’faces of youth arts, a dynamic and innovative organisation, is dedicated to providing opportunities for young people aged 3 to 27 years for community and cultural development through artistic expression and endeavours.

D’faces key underpinning factor is their ongoing commitment to ensuring all artistic programs delivered are sustainable, culturally community focused, and meet the diverse and changing needs of regional and local youth.

Since taking on a focus that encompasses all art forms, D’faces has managed to create work that is unique, innovative and constantly challenges the preconceptions of young people in the 21st Century.
