Following sell-out seasons in New York and Edinburgh, Australia’s fabulously camp and deliciously funny Drags Aloud are back at the Garden of Unearthly Delights this Adelaide Fringe (1st - 13th March 2010) with another gloriously twisted comedy cabaret. You must see Drags Aloud at the Movies.
These 20th Century foxes with a difference will make you laugh and cry and as they mime and mimic their way through a score of some of Hollywood's most-beloved movies and stars. Funny, irreverent, and with more costume changes than a Kylie concert, Drags Aloud at the Movies is bucket loads of glorious pop and corn in a parody of epic proportions. It’s time to move over Priscilla and make room for Drags Aloud at the Movies.
Drags Aloud is the first Australian drag show to tour internationally, including history making shows on London's West End and off-Broadway in New York. Drags Aloud dazzled audiences with their unique parody of The Sound of Music in 2007, receiving a special Director's Commendation at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and a host of five-star reviews at their Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut. Next they demolished Sandy and Danny with their Grease Lightnin' Drag Show, again selling out at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (Forth Radio Fringe Award 2008). Shows on London's West End and Off-Broadway followed along with a Christmas Spiegletent season in Edinburgh. Back in Australia they were invited to open for Joan Rivers on her 2009 Australian Tour, and now they're back in Adelaide with a new herd of Hollywood's sacred cows in their sights.
Drags Aloud are Amanda Monroe, Jessica James, Kris del Vayze and Linda Lamont. For more information visit www.adelaidefringe.com.au.
