Vitalstatistix Theatre Company is a vital and active theatre company based in Port Adelaide. Through a SAYAB initiative they are seeking an Emerging Creative Producer for a 4 month part time contract.
The Emerging Creative Producer will:
provide event planning, research and administrative support for the research and development of a new project : In Utero through Vitals Incubator initiative
facilitate the provision of educational and creative opportunities for local artists of diverse backgrounds to further develop the project
develop and maintain industry and community connections and maximise effective use of local resources.
This unique new position, available to applicants under 26, is suitable for arts workers who want to develop their own skills within a producing environment.
Applications should show that you have:
Experience in: event management, project management and/or stage management; curatorship; production experience with a desire to learn more about producing and creating your own work / event.
Ability to: liaise effectively with stakeholders and artists working with multiple discipline (visual, performance, music, installation etc) and from a broad range of backgrounds; listen to artists needs and create the right working conditions for all participants; understand and maintain budgeting and financial control mechanisms; lead a small team in the delivery of specified projects
Effective resource planning and co-ordination skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level computer skills
