Now in its third big year, Fast+Fresh Dance cultivates talent and performance by choreographers and dancers aged 21 and under. The festival inspires young performers to strive for their own artistic excellence and encourages active participation in dance at all levels and styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, tap, krumping, parkour, physical theatre and lyrical.

All works must be five minutes or less in duration and choreographed and performed by people who are 21 years of age or younger. Winning performances from each heat, selected by a panel of dance industry judges, proceed to the Final Showcase to battle it out for awards such as Best Male Dancer, Best Female Dancer, Most Outstanding Choreography, Best New Talent and Audience Choice Award.

This year's entries include works about old-fashioned telephones; the journey of man; human connection; a circus in the underworld; growing up without a plan; first love; cops & robbers; surviving winter; freak shows; alter egos; and fireflies. An array of explosive dance styles including hip hop, tango, krumping, aerial, contemporary, lyrical, African and ballet is sure to keep you on your toes and take your breath away.
