Sydney Opera House will mark the 30th anniversary of Babies Proms by kicking off the year with I Wanna Be A Mermaid, by Melbourne’s award-winning vocal and percussion ensemble, Coco’s Lunch.
Nominated for a 2007 Aria Award, Coco’s Lunch present scintillating songs for young people that are clever, catchy and full of zest. Renowned for their harmonies, brilliant energy and stunning live performances, the quintet have thrilled audiences at leading festivals around the world for more than a decade.
Coco’s Lunch inspire young audiences to shuffle, clap, dance the mambo and sing in all kinds of creative ways. I Wanna Be A Mermaid is an interactive musical experience for 2 to 5 year olds featuring new seaside songs and classic Coco hits, directed by Vanessa Chapple.
Come and explore the magical world of underwater a capella, as the girls become singing pirates, scuba divers, surfers and mermaids for a day.
With a rhythmical vitality, humour and musical sophistication that sets them apart from most children’s performers, Coco’s Lunch will ignite the imagination of every child.
