After years of touring their avant-garde circus company around the world, one of Albury's best-kept secrets - Acrobat - think they know right from wrong, and are prepared to set the rest of us straight with their production Propaganda.
Utilising disciplined physical skills, crude production and calculated self-derision, Acrobat has a unique and unpredictable approach to theatre.
Founded by Simon Yates and Jo-Ann Lancaster, Acrobat has toured extensively throughout Europe, Britain, Ireland, Singapore, Brazil and Australia. After indoctrinating their kids, Acrobat are taking a step out of their Australian back yard into Europe, then the rest of the world…one show at a time.
The revolution starts here.
Be warned: Propaganda contains nudity and occasional coarse language.
"Aussies, annoyingly, are often the best at everything, and it would be hard to find artists who are fitter, stronger, or indeed, more crazily daring than these." - Liz Arratoon, The Stage, '07
You can catch Propaganda at Butter Factory Theatre in Wodonga until March 21 (www.hothousetheatre.com.au) and at Melbourne's Art House in the Meat Market from March 27 - April 3 (www.artshouse.com.au).
