La MaMa Umbria are offering experiential workshops for professional directors, playwrights and actors at La MaMa Umbria International in Spoleto, Italy during three Programs this summer.
Program One
Ping Chong, Tina Landau, André de Shields, Erik Ehn, Ruth Maleczech, Dijana Milosevic, Luca Ronconi, Hjalmar-Jorge Joffre-Eichorn, JoAnne Akalaitis, Dorcy Rugamba, Marco Martinelli, Ermanna Montanari* and others will offer experiential workshops for professional directors, playwrights and actors at La MaMa Umbria International in Spoleto, Italy during 3 Programs this summer.
Erik Ehn facilitates the 5th Annual La MaMa International Playwright Retreat, July 3 – 13, 2011 at La MaMa Umbria is Spoleto, Italy.

Program Two
The 12 Annual La MaMa International Symposium for Directors takes place from July 15 – August 15, 2011 at La MaMa Umbria. There will be 2 two-week sessions, each featuring at least four extraordinary teaching artists (among those listed above) and special guests.
In addition, participants visit local cultural sites, attend arts festivals and community fairs and meet local artists. Registration is now underway.
