La Mama for Kids is back for 2010 with more great performances for children at La Mama Theatre and La Mama Courthouse, featuring some of Melbourne’s best children’s theatre companies and musicians.
Their next show, ‘Music for Little Monkeys’ by The Mudcakes, is happening on Saturday, February 20th, at La Mama Theatre.
Kazoos, ukuleles, bongos and harmonicas and a giant cuddly monkey called Socrates, may all be spotted onstage in The Mudcakes’ 'Music for Little Monkeys' show. Sherry Rich and Rick Plant cooked up The Mudcakes while living in Nashville Tennessee where they worked as pro musicians and songwriters. Now based in Melbourne and dedicated to writing and recording great quality music celebrating roots music and the ups and downs of raisin’ a family. Lots of audience participation and crowd favourites like ‘Poo Party’ and ‘Spit it Out’ are guaranteed to please music loving monkeys aged 0 to 8 and their folks.
