A rock concert / group therapy mash up marks the return of Perth performer Shane Adamczak's awkward alter-ego Zack Adams to the Blue Room. Love Songs for Future Girl will rock your lacy socks off from August 11-28 as part of the Theatre's 21st birthday season Young Enought to do it anyway.

Rock'n'roll funnyman Zack Adams has just discovered the girl he thought was 'The One' is not. Dumped, depressed and slightly drunk, the actor/comedian figures if you can't laugh at yourself, then you may as well let an audience do it.

This all-new show takes audiences on a musical comedy journey through love, loss, heartbreak, growing bad ginger beards and much more in between, as Zack embarks on a quest for 'the Actual One', wherever she may be.

Writer/performer Shane Adamczak's self-devised character Zack Adams has resulted in four solo theatre shows which have toured to festivals including the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the Brisbane and Adelaide Fringe Festivals. In 2009, Zack Adams: Awkward was one of only 9 international shows (and only 4 Australian acts) invited to perform at the New York International Arts Festival.

Adamczak said Zack Adams has come a long way since the character's inception five years ago.

"Zack is a character that is constantly changing and evolving his stories and performance style. I'm looking forward to bringing this latest offering to Perth audiences; a show which I feel is my strongest and most interesting solo piece to date."

Love Songs for Future Girl coincides with the release of Zack Adams' debut EP of the same name and the first release by Weeping Spoon Records, Adamczak's offshoot of the Perth-based, international award-winning independent production house he co-founded, Weeping Spoon Productions (visit www.weepingspoon.com for more info).

Love Songs for Future Girl is on at the Blue Room Theatre from August 11-28. For bookings and more info, visit www.blueroom.org.au or phone (08) 9227 7005.
