Maxine Mellor's Mystery Project regional tour

posted Tuesday, 28 Jul

After a successful Brisbane season Queensland Theatre Company and State Library of Queensland are bringing Maxine Mellor’s Mystery Project to schools in Far North Queensland free of charge. The play will tour to primary schools in Cairns and surrounding regions during Term 3 this year and is specifically written for students in Years 4–7.

With drama, danger, excitement and humour, Maxine Mellor’s Mystery Project follows the story of Agatha, an aspiring detective, and Elspeth, a girl with a shadowy secret, as they delve into books, uncover clues and unravel Elspeth’s mysterious past.

The play utilises the murder mystery genre to humorously and dramatically explore the themes and ideas of playing with the truth, imaginary friends, trust, friendship and overcoming fears.

For bookings call regional coordinator Damien Cassidy on (07) 3010 7668.
