This position will effectively manage the operations of the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA).
Reporting to the Executive Director of NAVA, the General Manager will be responsible for organisational and administration duties, including human resources and office management. They will be able to fulfil board and company requirements, contribute to operational, strategic and project planning and the management of the NAVA grants program. The position will be involved in personnel management and the supervision of junior staff. If full time, the position will also be responsible for financial management.
This position requires a mature, energetic and well organized person with a sound knowledge of business administration processes and systems. Applicants should have substantial proven experience and ability in managing a comparable scale of organisation. They should have a clear
understanding of the legal responsibilities of a not-for-profit organization and enthusiasm for visual arts, craft and design. Applicants with financial management skills and knowledge will be considered for a full-time position.
Tertiary or professional qualification in arts administration or something equivalent is essential.
