NSW conservatoriums benefit from budget boost

The NSW government recently announced a budget boost of $16.1 million to it’s arts funding, taking the state’s overall annual spend on arts to $244.1m.

The state’s regional music conservatoriums have been allocated $2.1 million to further music education, performances and touring. Premier Nathan Rees said the extra funds are ‘to ensure NSW remains Australia’s premier state for arts and culture’.
