Operatic Superstars to perform in the Adelaide Hills

posted Friday, 1 Jan

Bird in Hand winery will host baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes and tenor David Hobson for one unforgettable performance in March 2010.

The concert will be held on Sunday, 7th March under the stars and amongst the vines.

New Zealand native Rhodes, the Aria and MO award winner, will perform at the Adelaide Hills’ winery in between sell out seasons at Carnegie Hall, New York.

Rhodes will reunite with Hobson, another international performer who rose to fame here in Australia by twice winning Channel 7’s “It Takes Two”.

Rhodes and Hobson will be accompanied by Sharolyn Kimmorley - one of Australia’s greatest pianists.

The annual concert emphasises Bird in Hand’s ongoing commitment to the arts.

“To have two world renowned operatic artists performing together at Bird in Hand is a great thrill for us. It will be an evening of pure musical brilliance,” said Andrew Nugent, Managing Director for the winery.

Tickets for the concert are extremely limited, ensuring an intimate experience. For bookings and enquiries contact Bird in Hand on 08 8389 9488 or info@birdinhand.com.au .
