Polyglot goes international

posted Tuesday, 28 Jul

There are certainly no strings tying down Polyglot. Hot on the heels of their huge tour to the Singapore Arts Festival with The Big Game, they are about to board flights back into Asia to tour Check Out! for two weeks in China in partnership with the Shanghai International Children's Festival.

In September, Polyglot will make their American debut, performing their classic
work We Built This City at the prestigious Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC.

They haven't forgotten about their home audiences. We Built This City will also be playing at Festival Cairns in August and opening the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre in September. Their classic show Muckheap will be touring Victorian schools in October before playing some public shows at La Mama's Carlton Courthouse in Melbourne in November.

They are also busy working on arts residency projects in three Melbourne schools and most importantly, working on an exciting new project which will combine gallery and theatre experiences in a touring theatrical installation for children titled City of Riddles which will premiere in the second half of 2010.
