RealTV is proud to announce our successful application to the Australia Council for presentation funding for War Crimes, a VCE listed play touring regional and metropolitan Victoria in August this year.
War Crimes, a Sydney Opera House:ED and Regional Arts Victoria commission, featured recently at Playwriting Australia’s National Play Festival in Brisbane. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about RealTV's new play in development...
Whether she’s a Queenslander or a Victorian now, Angela Betzien’s work is phenomenal. Her ear for dialogue and the way her young characters blast audiences from their comfort zones make her plays rich, dark and disturbing. It was thrilling seeing War Crimes with its cast of five women directed by Leticia Caceres. This was physically confronting and engaging theatre, pushing the boundaries of readings.
