An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced youth arts practitioner to join a special, vibrant and award-winning regional youth arts organisation. Are you the next Artistic Director?
The current AD will be leaving in 2010 to pursue new opportunities and the Board of Management is looking for a passionate and dynamic person to work alongside the current experienced management team. Together you’ll deliver relevant and high quality performing arts experiences for Riverland young people and the wider community.
The AD is primarily responsible for the development and management of the organisation’s artistic program which includes a variety of projects, workshops and performances. The AD will facilitate and lead the majority of the organisation's community arts development projects and workshops.
This full-time position will suit an individual with experience in creating theatre/performance by, with and/or for young people, and who possesses excellent communication skills, organisation and team management skills. You will need to be able to work flexible hours and be fantastic at time management.
The AD will become a key member of the youth and cultural networks of the Riverland, and have a clear appreciation of the organisation’s place in the region. You will use this profile and understanding to engage young people, artists, audiences, community partners and stakeholders alike in the next phase of the organisation’s growth.
A flexible commencement date between April and July 2010 can be negotiated with the successful applicant.
