Congratulations to Shakespeare fan, George Robson who has won a double pass to the opening night of STC Ed’s Hamlet in 2011.

What else is in store for STC Ed next year?

By popular demand STC Ed presents Matt Cameron’s Ruby Moon directed by STC’s 2011 Richard Wherrett Fellow Sarah Giles and Urban Theatre Projects’ Stories of Love and Hate featuring the unique verbatim performance technique of Headphone Verbatim.

In 2011 STC have a brand new offering of student and teacher workshops to enrich student learning and teacher professional development. Student workshops include the ever-popular Group-Devised Performance workshop, Brecht workshop and a brand new workshop featuring Stolen & The 7 Stages of Grieving.  The company are also introducing a brand new Onstage Week Masterclass Series geared towards helping students with their HSC Drama Individual Projects.

And for teacher professional development the finest artists STC can offer will work with teachers in the Verbatim Teacher Workshop, Black Comedy Teacher Workshop, Stage Combat Teacher Workshop and for primary teachers the Using Drama Across the Primary Curriculum Teacher.

The STC Ed team will also be continuing to offer Schools Days for all 2011 Main Stage Productions with great pre and post show events.

STC Ed’s program has expanded with a wide range of productions, workshops, community outreach and school education based programs on offer. In addition to their fabulous productions and workshops they'll be commissioning new Australian work for young audiences; touring to regional NSW with the highly successful People of the Soil Project, investing in NSW teachers through their unique professional learning programs including School Drama; hosting the annual Young Playwright’s Residency; and facilitating workshops for students and teachers.
