Spirit Festival 2009

Experience the oldest living culture in the world at the 2009 Spirit Festival.

On Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th of December, South Australia's Elder Park will come alive with performances from local and international indigenous artists, visual arts, childrens workshops, performing arts and sporting activities.

Saturday's program boasts bush tucker tasting with the Black Olive, Popeye Dreaming Tours, a Visual Arts market and a Sunset Ceremony featuring Cultural Bearers from across the nation. Christine Anu, Jimmy Little, Mark Atkins and Dan Sultan will be just some of the acts offering live music to the masses.

Sunday offers childrens workshops, games, face painting and live performances from Emma Donovan, Archie Roach and Australian Idol finalist Jessica Mauboy.

The festival kicks off at 11am both days, and is a free all-ages event. For more information, head to www.thespiritfestival.com.
