State Theatre Company Red Carpet Ambassadors Appointed

posted Thursday, 1 Jul

Congratulations to the State Theatre Company's recently appointed Red Carpet Ambassadors: Sophie Bruhn, Adam Gibbons, Emily Heidrich, Jane Howard, Rebecca Lynas and Vanessa Puopolo.

Red Carpet is the Company's series of events for people aged in their 20s and 30s, offering unique experiences and events to enhance the performances. Patrons under 30 can also subscribe to State Theatre performances for only $25 per show, and enjoy free or reduced tickets to Red Carpet events.

The Red Carpet Ambassador program was open to the general public, who were asked to submit an application through State Theatre Company's website in June this year. The successful members were selected based on their theatrical experience, knowledge and interest.

The committee will meet regularly with Education and Access Manager Robyn Brookes to plan, promote and improve the Red Carpet program and events.

"The Ambassadors are excited about being the voice of young patrons and learning the creative challenges of theatre, whilst having the opportunity to get an inside look at our performances," Robyn said.

The first Red Carpet event was very well attended on Saturday May 28 in conjunction with The 7 Stages of Grieving, with guests seeing the performance before attending an after-party in the backstage workshop.

The next event is planned for Friday August 20 in conjunction with romeo&juliet. The ticket price of $39 incorporates both the performance and after-party entry with drinks, nibbles and tunes, and is free for current Red Carpet subscribers. Bookings can be made through Robyn Brookes on (08) 8415 5333.

The romeo&juliet Red Carpet event is proudly supported by Fringe Benefits.
