Riverland Youth Theatre is excited to announce professional animator Fiona Perceval will visit the Riverland to conduct a four day workshop with young artists in animation, Claymation and stop motion film making techniques.

Fiona’s TV credits include: Xena Warrior Princess and The Wiggles Space Dancing. She was lead animator for Ratbag games and has worked on large budget games titles for Xbox, PS2 and Next Generation consoles as well as teaching for the Australia Film Radio and Television School.

Participants will be asked to create their own super hero tale. Films will be based on the idea of developing your own superhero character and story. Workshops will focus on developing skills in editing, character and set model making, sound design, and story boarding.

RYT is calling for short films to be submitted to the travelling Supermation Film Festival in November this year.

Supermation Autumn Holiday workshops April 18-21, 10-4pm $15 per day for participants aged 7-13 years. Professional development opportunities are also available for teachers at $25 per day.

"RYT is thrilled to have such a high calibre artist share her skills with young artists in the Riverland who have already shown such talent and initiative through school programs. RYT is pleased to be able to present this opportunity for those young people to develop that talent and to share it with the rest of the community through the Supermation Short Film festival."  says Artistic Director Olivia Allen.
