“It’s wonderful to see young actors brave enough to produce.”

Tony Busch, (Adelaide Theatre Guide)

Junglebean, Adelaide's vibrant new theatre company, are quickly making a name for themselves.

After their inaugral production of Neil Labute's Autobahn during the 2009 Adelaide Fringe was named one of the Top 5 Theatre shows of 2009 by dB Magazine's David O'Brien, Junglebean are excited to present their latest production this June.

Co-founders Nic English, Tim Overton and Renee Gentle, recent graduates from the Adelaide Centre for the Arts, are fast building a reputation having ‘appeared in a succession of fine performances’.

Between them they have worked with some of South Australia’s most prominent theatre companies including State Theatre Company of South Australia, Patch Theatre Company, Splash Theatre Company, Flying Penguin Productions, Cry Havoc, State Opera of South Australia, as well as appearing in both film and television.

Their efforts attracted the attention of award winning South Australian director Michael Hill, who recently formed a collaboration with Junglebean.

Two by British playwright Jim Cartwright is their latest offering. ‘Back by popular demand’ after a successful season in October 2009, it is a hilarious and touching piece of theatre that takes place over one night, in the front bar of a typical North English pub.

You can catch Two upstairs at the Directors Hotel, 247 Gouger Street, Adelaide, from 23-26 and 30 June and 1-3 July at 7.30pm.
