Roll up!...or run away?

The secrets out, with the Garden of Unearthly Delights releasing its most fun-filled family friendly program ever staged! 2010 will see a huge range of extraordinary shows promise something entertaining for all ages. An afternoon of family shows in The Garden is a great way to introduce young ones to the wonderful world of the Fringe and engage their hearts and minds to the delights of circus, comedy, theatre and puppetry.

Plus, it's whole lot of fun!

A CURIOUS DAY

Justin McKinley returns from Circus Oz to perform his first solo comedy show. What if one day you wake up and find your "best friend" has disappeared? What would you do? In an attempt to find his 'Best Friend' Justin is led on an amazing adventure of circus and magic.

THE LIST OPERATORS FOR KIDS; MORE FUN THAN A Wii

Fresh from an amazingly successful season at the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Melbourne Fringe Festival, the award winning List Operators are coming to Adelaide with a brand new show, but this time they're doing it for the kids and it's more exciting than a Wii!

This show is a must see for raucous boys and rowdy girls!

BUBBLEWRAP & BOXES

Asking for Trouble presents their award winning family show, Bubblewrap & Boxes. Acrobatic, high-energy and delightful. Winner of the Best ‘School Holiday' Show, 2009 Melbourne Fringe Festival.

This little story about how to live bravely in a big world is told using acrobatics, clowning and a whole lot of cardboard boxes.

DOS OR DUO

A delightfully clever physical farce, Dos or Duo brings a charming and unique injection of comedy to the rich and varied circus line up in the Garden of Unearthly Delights this year.

Using brilliantly crafted clowning, acrobatics and aerials, Dos or Duo is an absurd and intelligent exploration of the world of two lost and endearing characters, armed only with each other, some rope, a piece of chalk... and a pig.

THE GRIMSTONES

Intricate old-world marionettes, giant books and sign language combine in a critically acclaimed gothic fairytale. This sensational sell-out show is returning to The Garden of Unearthly Delights following its hit 2009 season.

The Grimstones is about a girl who reads dreams, a baby boy with three legs, a mother who sews garments lined with warmth and joy, and a grandfather who heals people with his magical concoctions.

KIDS COMEDY GALA

Ladies & Gentlemen! Boys & Girls! Step right up to the Kids Comedy Gala – the most popular, sold out Fringe show for kids for the past five years!

The small peoples' version of "Best of the Fest", each show plays host to a spectacular collection of the best performers in the biz, including comedians, clowns, puppets, acrobats, magicians, musicians and top quality comedy without the rude bits.

THE PRINCE OF CRINGE

All is not well in the land of Cringe. An evil wizard has taken over, hidden the ancient symbols and banished the Prince. Not to mention turning him into a frog and that's the easy bit to deal with. Our Prince must collect the symbols and return to his rightful place in the land of Cringe.

From the delightfully child-like mind Sam Wills, The Boy With Tape On his Face.

ROLL UP!.... OR RUN AWAY?

These days many children and young people and in fact many adults never get to see the circus like they did in the old days. The days of the travelling circus are numbered! Well, Flipside is determined to change that!

Come along and meet this eclectic but amazing family (The Grahams) where Siamese (juggling) Twins Vlad & Imer, Svetlana the Russian Strong woman and Jed the (very) vain aerialist struggle with the money hungry and definitely shady ringmaster Jimmy Dimarni.

STICKS STONES BROKEN BONES

On a chair piled high with junk, a surreal shadow puppet universe awaits. Monkeys in the jungle, UFO abductions and flying Ninjas! Come witness one man's vision of delicious wonder and nonsense.

TOPSY TURVY

A wildly entertaining show for little and big kids alike, the dashing strongman, the wacky clown and the beautiful girl showcase their impressive skills and dazzling tricks.

Gasp in awe as Boris the strongman balances precariously on a tall stack of wooden chairs. Shriek with amazement as the glamorous Jeseeka dances along the tightwire. Laugh with admiration at the Clown's hysterical antics with his mysterious magic box.

AMAZING DRUMMING MONKEYS GO GREEN

Fringe favourites, The Amazing Drumming Monkeys return with their new show ‘Go Green'. Aimed at young children, the show features The Monkeys drumming, dancing, doing tricks and sending beautiful messages.

BROOM BROOM

Flying Heart Productions fuses the timeless art of clowning with object theatre to create this dynamic and delightful show about the mystery of friendship and the befriending of mystery. Two clowns sweep away life's cobwebs with some high powered Broom!! Broom!!. Cleaning has never ‘bin' so much fun.

THE FISH WHO WANTED TO FLY

Winners of Melbourne Fringe Children's Category Award and finalists of the 2008 Adelaide Fringe Puppetry Award with "The Mermaids Daughter", Company Gongoma returns with their new enchanting world combining colourful puppets and live African music, with a tale of a fish who more than anything wants to fly like a bird.

THE KINGS NEW CLOTHES

A witty, humorous and enthralling adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's famous children's story. A King is fooled and his people remain blindly obedient until the voice of a child exposes the truth. With puppetry, mask, music and interactivity, Billabong Theatre draws their audience into the world of the imagination.

THE MAGIC WATERHOLE

An Aesop's Fable style traditional African story of animals teaching humans how to live together in harmony. A joyous celebration of African culture and talent. A sensational show with puppets, comedy, dance, costumes and drumming. An explosion of excitement African-style!.

PIGS IN WIGS

The true story of the three little pigs. A side-splitting parody of the classic story but this time... from the eyes of the wolf. What really happened when three rotund porkers moved into the neighbourhood and started building real estate. A visual treat and delightful soundtrack, it will delight both children and adults.

SEASIDE PUNCH & JUDY

Punch and Judy shows presented in the authentic traditional ‘seaside-style' by Australia's leading Punch- Professors. See the irrepressible Mr Punch, Judy, the Policeman, Crocodile and all the gang getting up to their usual mischief in the same way they've done for centuries.

Top-notch slapstick fun for kids, families and adults.

SNAPS KAKADU CLUB

Lindi Jane, Australia's leading female ventriloquist, presents her fun-filled show featuring Snap Crocodilus, the cheeky crocodile from Kakadu, who introduces his friends Dazey Wallabee, Sniffer Dog and Fluffi-Feline. Don't miss one of Australia's most loved family shows with a feast of comedy, music, puppetry, ventriloquism, singing and audience participation.
