Vital Future for Vitals and Fuller

posted Sunday, 1 Nov

Vitalstatistix Theatre Company has announced that its Creative Producer, Jane Fuller, is moving on from Waterside to pursue opportunities as an Independent Producer. She will remain involved with the company, working on selected projects as an Executive Producer.

Fuller said,

“I am sad to leave Vitals, especially given the exciting new direction of the company. Vitals is energised and vibrant and I am keen to follow the future of the company.”

“This year has been a breathless one, with four shows, two creative developments, a film program, massive book fair, a festival hub hotspot, two residencies, an award and a rich community development project” said Fuller, who has curated a packed program for 2010, due to be launched next month.

Jill Gael, Chair of Vitalstatistix said,

“Jane has taken the company in new directions while honouring its commitment to community.”

During Fuller’s tenure, Vitals has become a catalyst and incubator for the development of successful and compelling theatre.

“Jane’s passion for contemporary arts practice, eye for emerging artists and outstanding industry knowledge has affirmed Vitalstatistix as a leading creative hub,” Gael said.

Fuller departs Vitals early in 2010. Her plans include work with Sydney’s Brown Council, known to Adelaide audiences for their award winning production for Vitalstatistix of Six Minute Soul Mate at the 2009 Adelaide Fringe. It is anticipated that the new Brown Council show will be part of the Vitalstatistix program in 2011.

The Vitals Board has begun the search for a new Creative Producer, and is seeking applications from candidates who are ambitious, driven and passionate arts producers, with solid experience in the sector.
