The lovely folk at Arena Theatre Company are on the hunt for a new Program Coordinator.

The Program Coordinator is a position designed to assist the General Manager in the delivery of the Company’s annual program. The position provides administrative support, enabling the smooth operations of a small and busy office. In addition, the position coordinates the communications activities of the Company and assists the General Manager in special projects as required.

The position is offered as a full-time, fixed term position (8 months) beginning in mid-September 2010.

Applicants must possess:

1. Demonstrated experience in an arts or cultural organisation, preferably in an administration or communications role

2. Knowledge, interest and passion for the performing arts.

3. High-level oral and written communication skills.

4. Ability to manage a variety of competing priorities and projects simultaneously with a strong attention to detail.

5. Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a busy team environment.

6. Demonstrated computer literacy in a range of software programs including Word, Excel, and Filemaker Pro.

Experience with software programs InDesign and Photoshop, and online content management systems, along with experience in an Apple Mac operating environment will be highly regarded.
