Interested in social change and new media?
Wayfarer v2 - Urban Agents is a web-based, multiplayer game that breaks out of the box and migrates into the real world – offering diverse opportunities for students to explore notions of social responsibility and new ways of engaging with community and the arts. Visit www.wayfarer.net.au to discover how you can comment in the current Wayfarer game.
Armed only with a mobile phone, imaginations and a commitment to improving their community, teams of 'Urban Agents' have been charged with creating socially responsible actions around the CBD over the next two weeks. These 'Wayfarers' must video their interactions then stream them back to the Wayfarer website for comment, scrutiny and discussion.
Teams are comprised of secondary and tertiary students, community members and artists, while online commentary is provided by expert advocates, other students or anyone around the planet interested in participating in this unique event.
Devised by artists Kate Richards and Martyn Coutts in collaboration with Education at the Arts Centre.?
