Carclew Youth Arts is calling for applications for its 2012 Scholarship Program and Independent Arts Foundation Creative Writing Mentorship.
Scholarships are available for talented young artists who are demonstrating outstanding talent and potential in the area of:
- Performing Arts - Dame Ruby Litchfield Scholarship- $12,500 (Acting, Dance, Direction, Choreography, Music, Circus Performance etc)
- Visual Arts - Ruth Tuck Scholarship- $12,500 (Sculpture, Drawing, Painting, Digital, Photographic, Design, Ceramic, Glass, Crafts etc)
- Creative Writing - Colin Thiele Scholarship- $12,500 (Original creative writing, Novels, Scripts, Poetry, Prose, Rhyme, Stories, Plays, etc)
- BHP Billiton Film and New Media Scholarship- $12,500 (Film-Producing /Directing, Script Writing and Development, Documentaries, Cinematography, Animation, Trans-media Production, Biotechnology + Arts, Virtual World and Gaming, Video Art, Research into new technologies for Screen and Media work etc)
These scholarships are offered in conjunction with the Independent Arts Foundation Creative Writing Mentorship- $3250 to support the professional development of a South Australian creative writer (aged 26 and under) to work with a mentor to further develop their art.
Applications close 5pm 1 August 2011 for 2012.
