Experimenta Utopia Now is an engaging and hands-on exhibition showcasing the best of Australian and international interactive and moving image artworks. Experimenta Utopia Now examines the world we live in, re-imagining our current condition through utopian and dystopian visions. Be inspired by the range of creative uses of new and established technologies and moving image techniques.
Book an age specific, guided tour and find out more about the artists behind the works and what's involved in the creation of complex media artworks. Students can participate in a practical 1⁄2 day workshop at Soundhouse and produce a stop-motion animation or an experimental sound piece of their own. Study Morning Sessions for senior students provide the opportunity to meet Experimenta Utopia Now curators and artists and gain an in-depth insight into the themes and techniques behind the exhibition.
To complement the exhibition, an Experimenta Utopia Now study guide with pre and post visit student activities will be available at experimenta.org in January 2010.
