TOTIPOTENT: A National Theatre Summit for Young and Emerging Artists

Young and Emerging theatre makers are invited to join a provocative exploration into the future of the theatre ecology in this country. Participants will have their say on the current environment of youth theatre in Australia and articulate ambitious possibilities for change and development. The outcomes from this summit will be taken to the Australian Theatre Forum in Brisbane later in September.

The Summit will engage with industry professionals about possibilities, ideas and their practices. We
are proud to announce that Matthew Lutton, the Associate Director of the Malthouse Theatre, will join
us as the Key Note speaker of the event.

TOTIPOTENT will offer contributors the opportunity to see new and exciting work by young and
emerging theatre makers and those attending the summit are encouraged to perform and share ideas
about their own work.

The Summit will involve a dialogue with a wide range of theatre practitioners from around the country and invites anyone interested to come along, experience and engage in this exciting discussion.

The Catapult Program has been supported by the Australia Council's Cultural Leadership fund.

Dates: 2nd and 3rd September
Venue: St Martins Youth Arts Centre, 44 St Martins Lane, South Yarra, 3141
