Hip hop music mentoring and skills development workshops in Yuendumu, Northern Territory.
InCite Youth Arts in partnership with the Mt Theo Program, Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation will build on the success of workshops held in 2007- 2009. 2010 workshops will see the consolidation of the music program with increased access to these activities by isolated Warlpiri young people in the remote Central Desert Region.

As part of our ongoing dance Program at Centralian Middle School, Centralian Senior College, Hidden Valley Town Camp Community Centre & Larapinta Valley Learning Centre, we’re delivering a free program of dance workshops with possible performance outcomes at discos & conferences around town in July.

InCite is working with the community to deliver a program that focuses on the four elements of hip hop: music, dance, video & aerosol art. We have a team of local and interstate artists who run workshops with schools, community groups & town camps that lead to performances & permanent installations. Stage 1 saw the Crew (young people who have worked on previous aerosol art projects with InCite) design & install a mural at Gap Youth Centre. Young people who were new to the art form participated in skills development workshops with Dash88.

Stage 2 sees these young people design & install their own mural at Congress Youth Drop In Centre with Dash88, who is also training the Crew to be mentors themselves.
