Happy Holidays – December Creative Holiday Workshop

Monday 14 & Tuesday 15 December. 9:30 to 4:30

School's over! Summer holidays are here. Sun, surf, travel, snow, ski, home, playing?
Create a Dream Holiday. What, in your wildest dreams, would you do, where would you go and who would you go with on the holiday of your dreams. Would it be like Alice in Wonderland, The Little Prince, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter or Shrek?

Make up impossible dream adventure stories to play and act out in Drama, paint and draw in Art and make catchy music & songs in Music…scenes, pictures & sounds that will set imaginations flying, eyes popping & toes tapping…after all, holidays should be fun!

We emphasise the creative process, focusing young energies to tackle problem-solving in their artistic quest - building their self-confidence and giving them a great sense of achievement.

The Book of Everything

23 December 2009 to 31 January 2010

Thomas is nine and he’s started writing a book. His father says all important books are about God.
Even so, Thomas writes down all the interesting things he sees that other people seem to ignore: tropical fish in the canal, frogs in the letterbox, trumpeting sparrows…
He also writes his greatest wish: When I grow up, I’m going to be happy.

Featuring Jesus, the angels, the Bottombiter, the startling Mrs Van Amersfoort and a beautiful girl with a leather leg, this is a totally magical story about a child learning to act when faced with fear and wrong.
Acclaimed children’s author Guus Kuijer’s magnificently humble book grabs your heart, challenges your mind and makes you laugh no matter how old you are.

A co-production between Company B Belvoir and Theatre of Image.
Adapted by Richard Tulloch, Directed by Neil Armfield and Designed by Kim Carpenter
