Boats is a story of two mariners fleeing their past and embracing adventure.
By Finegan Kruckemeyer, directed by Frank Newman.
Boats is classic storytelling where the magic unfolds in front the audience. It follows the story of two mariners fleeing their past and embracing adventure. They meet through bizarre circumstances involving a chicken, a deserted island and a sombrero. Boats is classic storytelling where the magic unfolds in front the audience. The sound effects are created live, a boat is cut from bread, a bird tied from rope, a circus hides in a jacket, and finally a storm is made with a teacup. Boats has acrobatics, object manipulation, a microphone that goes in water and enchanting story telling.
It is a moving story that leaves a lump in your throat and a smile on your face.

When the Pictures Came is a funny and absurd story that is about a group of people that have to learn to work together to overcome a formidable opponent. And it's coming to Adelaide and Hobart in 2011!
Four people sit in four rooms and try to make themselves better: the opera singer wants to sing louder; the strongman wants to be stronger; the martial artist wants to be more artful; and the kid wants to play with them all. But one day, two deliverymen arrive.
And in their arms, is a box. And in the box, is a machine. And in the machine… are the pictures.
When the pictures came, they sucked in stories, and secrets, and four characters with no idea what they were in for – they spat out revelations, and magics, and impossibilities. Now the pictures are here, tastes can be heard, sounds can be seen, heads will roll (literally), and shadows abandon their bodies. Now the pictures are here, once upon a times will happen twice, and happy ever afters are gone in the blink of an eye.
For four characters, the inside world will mash with the outside, and the mess create a flood big enough to wash all rules away.
Hold your breath – we’re going in.

Samuel Paxton has to share a house with his very moody family. And he hates it. So he heads out to the shed which is full of all the electrical things that his family has ever broken and thrown away – and he knows how those things feel. There are tellys with no picture, and radios with no noise, computers that have holes in them. There are phones that will not call you, and records that won’t spin. There are microwaves in early graves. So he started fixing.
For a year people wondered what went on in the shed, until one day Samuel emerged. He had fixed everything.
But there is boring fixing – where you make a thing be able to do what it did before, and there is magic fixing – where you make a thing better than it ever was...
The Falling Room and the Flying Room is about the power of imagination and the mythology of a family. Using contemporary multimedia, digital puppetry and powerful performances to create theatrical magic, the show tells the story of a boy whose imaginary world of mechanical wizardry helps bring his family back together.

Helena and the Journey of the Hello is about that beautiful yet awkward moment where a child crosses over and begins the journey to adulthood.
Helena's mum is always on the phone - because she lives in it. Helena's father goes into the forest and befriends the animals and Helena sings songs with an old wolf, a fox and a hare.
Terrapin's naughty and enchanting show is a classical style fairytale in a crossed line conversation with contemporary times. It is narrated by three mischievous animals that weave the audience through a thicket of stories about Helena, her father and her mother who lives in a phone!
